Module: DOCS-IF31-MIB

OID (symbolic): DOCS-IF31-MIB::docsIf31CmtsCmRegStatusMaxUsableDsFreq

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.4491.2.1.28.1.3.1.7

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-only

Description: This attribute is the lower of the CCAP's maximum supported downstream frequency and the CM's maximum supported downstream frequency. It indicates the highest downstream frequency the CCAP can use to communicate with this CM taking into account the capabilities of both devices. This object is applicable to DOCSIS 3.1 modems but not to prior versions of DOCSIS modems. If the CM is a pre-DOCSIS 3.1 modem, the CMTS returns zero.

What is docsIf31CmtsCmRegStatusMaxUsableDsFreq?

Reports, in Hz, the highest downstream frequency the CMTS can actually use to talk to this specific modem, computed as the lower of the CMTS's and the modem's maximum supported downstream frequencies. It's the counterpart to docsIf31CmtsCmRegStatusMinUsableDsFreq and helps explain channel-assignment limits for a given modem; DOCSIS 3.1-only, reads zero for older modems.
