Module: DOCS-IF31-MIB

OID (symbolic): DOCS-IF31-MIB::docsIf31CmUsOfdmaChanFirstActiveSubcarrierNum

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.4491.2.1.28.1.13.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-only

Description: This attribute defines the upper edge of the OFDMA upstream channel. The minimum channel width for an OFDMA upstream channel is 6.4 MHz in 4K mode and 10MHz in 2K mode. The valid range is 74 to 3947.

What is docsIf31CmUsOfdmaChanFirstActiveSubcarrierNum?

The subcarrier index (74-3947) marking the first active subcarrier of this OFDMA upstream channel; note the source MIB's own DESCRIPTION text for this object mistakenly describes it as "the upper edge of the OFDMA upstream channel" (that appears to be copy-pasted from a different, upper-boundary object), but this explanation follows the object's actual name ("FirstActiveSubcarrierNum") and its parallel with docsIf31CmtsUsOfdmaChanLowerBdryFreq/UpperBdryFreq siblings, i.e. it is the lower/first boundary, not the upper one. OFDMA upstream channels have a minimum width of 6.4 MHz in 4K mode or 10 MHz in 2K mode, and admins use this value together with the LastActiveSubcarrierNum to compute the channel's active spectrum range.
