Module: DOCS-IF31-MIB

OID (symbolic): DOCS-IF31-MIB::docsIf31CmDsOfdmProfileStatsInUnicastFrames

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.4491.2.1.28.1.10.1.10

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter64

Access: read-only

Description: This attribute is the count of frames received by the CM on this profile. This value is the count of all unicast, multicast or broadcast frames delivered from the Phy to the MAC; this includes user data, DOCSIS MAC Management Messages, etc.

Discontinuities in the value of this counter can occur at reinitialization of the managed system, and at other times as indicated by the value of docsIf31CmDsOfdmProfileStats- CtrDiscontinuityTime.

What is docsIf31CmDsOfdmProfileStatsInUnicastFrames?

A 64-bit counter of MAC frames received by the modem on this downstream OFDM profile that were addressed as unicast, a subset of the total frame count in docsIf31CmDsOfdmProfileStatsInFrames. Note: the source MIB's own DESCRIPTION text for this object is copy-pasted verbatim from the sibling InFrames object (it says "all unicast, multicast or broadcast frames" rather than describing unicast specifically) -- this explanation instead follows the object's own name and its position as entry 10 in the profile-stats table, which parallels the InUnicastOctets object; admins should treat the value as unicast-frame count and cross-check against total InFrames if precision matters. The counter can reset on system reinitialization.
