What is docsIf31CmDsOfdmChanChanIndicator?

The modem's own view of whether this OFDM downstream channel is its primary channel, backup primary, or non-primary, reported as primary(2), backupPrimary(3), or nonPrimary(4) -- the CM-side counterpart to docsIf31RxChStatusPrimaryDsIndicator. Admins can compare this modem-reported value against the CMTS-side status to confirm both ends agree on which channel is carrying registration traffic.
