Description: Indicates the mechanisms authorized to reserve and control this M-CMTS Downstream interface. When configured to 'docsisOnly' indicates that it can be allocated only to serve data over DOCSIS. When configured to 'videoOnly' indicates that it can be allocated only to video services and not for Data over DOCSIS. 'any' indicates the M-CMTS Downstream Interface can be reserved for DOCSIS or video services.
What is docsIfMCmtsEqamDownstreamAllocationType?
Controls what kind of traffic this M-CMTS downstream interface may be reserved for: 'docsisOnly' restricts it to DOCSIS data, 'videoOnly' reserves it purely for video services, and 'any' lets either claim it. An operator sets this to statically carve out QAM capacity, e.g. reserving certain channels for video-on-demand so a resource manager can't allocate them to broadband data.
