Description:
The value of this object is the number of times the CMTS has transmitted a Key Reject message. Discontinuities in the value of this counter can occur at re-initialization of the management system, and at other times as indicated by the value of ifCounterDiscontinuityTime.
What is docsBpi2CmtsKeyRejects?
This OID counts how many encryption key requests from cable modems have been rejected by the cable network's central system. It indicates security issues or configuration problems when modems cannot establish encrypted connections. A cable service operator would check this counter to diagnose why customer modems are failing to complete security handshakes.
