This OID holds a counter of NetBIOS Named Registration exchange messages sent on a Data Link Switch connection. Monitoring this tells you the volume of name-resolution traffic flowing through the bridge. An operator would check this to diagnose issues with NetBIOS name resolution or to understand protocol overhead on legacy network bridges.
