Description: Specifies the rise threshold value of the entry. A special value of -1 indicates the storm control of the corresponding traffic type is not enabled on that interface.
What is dStormCtrlRiseThresholdValue?
This value sets the traffic rate, in the unit defined by dStormCtrlThresholdType, above which storm control considers a storm to be occurring on the interface for that traffic type. Admins configure it to define the trigger point for storm mitigation, such as when broadcast traffic exceeds a safe percentage of link bandwidth. A value of -1 disables storm control for that traffic type on the interface, while a value of 5000 in packets-per-second mode would trigger a storm event once traffic exceeds that rate.
