This object enables or disables trusted-host filtering specifically for Telnet access to the switch. It lets an administrator restrict which hosts can open a Telnet management session, reducing exposure of the unencrypted Telnet CLI to unauthorized clients. For instance, an admin might set this to disabled(2) entirely and rely on SSH instead, or enable(1) it while limiting the trusted-host list to a single jump-box IP address.
