Module: DISMAN-NSLOOKUP-MIB

OID (symbolic): DISMAN-NSLOOKUP-MIB::lookupPurgeTime

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.82.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-write

Description: The amount of time to wait before automatically deleting an entry in the lookupCtlTable and any dependent lookupResultsTable entries after the lookup operation represented by a lookupCtlEntry has been completed. A lookupCtEntry is considered complete when its lookupCtlOperStatus object has a value of completed(3).

A value of 0 indicates that automatic deletion of entries is disabled.

What is lookupPurgeTime?

This sets how many seconds after a lookup operation completes before its entry and results are automatically deleted from the lookupCtlTable and lookupResultsTable. Admins use it to control how long completed lookup results stay queryable via SNMP before the agent cleans them up on its own, with 0 disabling automatic deletion entirely. With the default of 900 seconds, a completed lookup for a given host would vanish from the table 15 minutes after lookupCtlOperStatus reports completed(3).
