This object yields a unique, incrementing value that an admin reads and then writes back to claim a new diffPolicyDPCId for a per-hop-behavior policy entry. It exists to prevent two management stations from racing to create policy entries with the same identifier, since the read value must be tested for uniqueness on write. For example, a management application reads diffPolicyDPCUnique, gets 42, and uses 42 as the new diffPolicyDPCId when creating the next DiffServ policy row.
