diffServQNextFree

Module: DIFF-SERV-MIB

OID (symbolic): DIFF-SERV-MIB::diffServQNextFree

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.12345.1.8

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-only

Description: This object yields a value when read that is currently-unused for a diffServQId instance. If a configuring system attempts to create a new row in the diffServQTable using this value, that operation will fail if the value has, in the meantime, been used to create another row that is currently valid.

What is diffServQNextFree?

Reading this object returns a currently-unused ID for creating a new row in the queue table, so a management station doesn't need to scan existing queue IDs for a free one.
