clientSubnetID

Module: DHCP-V4-RELAY-MIB

OID (symbolic): DHCP-V4-RELAY-MIB::clientSubnetID

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.0.3.1.1.6.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: InetAddressIPv4

Access: read-write

Description: The subnet address of the link on which the client resides

What is clientSubnetID?

This read-write IPv4 address identifies the subnet on which the DHCP/BOOTP client resides, and serves as the index for the relay's subnet-to-server mapping table. Admins set it when creating a new mapping row so the relay knows which server or servers to forward requests to for clients on that particular subnet. For example, an admin would set this to 192.168.30.0 to designate the 192.168.30.0 subnet as the one whose client requests get relayed according to that row's server entry.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.0.3.1.1.6.1.1
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> DHCP-V4-RELAY-MIB::clientSubnetID

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.0.3.1.1.6.1.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> DHCP-V4-RELAY-MIB::clientSubnetID.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.0.3.1.1.6.1.1.1 s <value>
