swL2PortCtrlAutoNegCapAdvertisedBits

Module: DGS3650-L2MGMT-MIB

OID (symbolic): DGS3650-L2MGMT-MIB::swL2PortCtrlAutoNegCapAdvertisedBits

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.11.70.5.2.3.2.1.12

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: IANAifMauAutoNegCapBits

Access: read-write

Description: A value that uniquely identifies the set of capabilities advertised by the local auto-negotiation entity.

Capabilities in this object that are not available in swL2PortAutoNegInfoCapabilityBits cannot be enabled.

Note that the local auto-negotiation entity may advertise some capabilities beyond the scope of this MIB. This is indicated by returning the bit value bOther in addition to any bit values for standard capabilities that are listed in the IANAifMauAutoNegCapBits TC.

What is swL2PortCtrlAutoNegCapAdvertisedBits?

A bitmask of the speed/duplex capabilities this port advertises during auto-negotiation (per IEEE 802.3 clause 30.6.1.1.6), e.g. clearing the b1000baseTFD bit to stop a port from ever negotiating full-duplex Gigabit with a picky peer; only capabilities already present in the port's own supported-capabilities bitmask can be enabled here.
