swL2PVIDAutoAssignmentState

Module: DGS3627-L2MGMT-MIB

OID (symbolic): DGS3627-L2MGMT-MIB::swL2PVIDAutoAssignmentState

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.11.70.6.2.17.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This object controls the PVID auto assigment state. If 'Auto-assign PVID' is disabled, PVID only be changed by PVID configuration (user changes explicitly). The VLAN configuration will not automatically change PVID.

If 'Auto-assign PVID' is enabled, PVID will be possibly changed by PVID or VLAN configuration. When user configures a port to VLAN X's untagged membership, this port's PVID will be updated with VLAN X. In the form of VLAN list command, PVID is updated with last item of VLAN list. When user removes a port from the untagged membership of the PVID's VLAN, the port's PVID will be assigned with 'default VLAN'.

What is swL2PVIDAutoAssignmentState?

Controls whether a port's PVID (default/native VLAN) automatically updates to match the last VLAN the admin adds it to as untagged; when disabled, PVID only changes via explicit PVID configuration. Admins disable this on switches where they want tight, deliberate control over each port's native VLAN rather than having it shift as a side effect of VLAN membership changes.
