numBlocksAlloc

Module: DEVICE-MIB

OID (symbolic): DEVICE-MIB::numBlocksAlloc

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5812.1.5.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-only

Description: The number of blocks of system memory that have been allocated in the system

What is numBlocksAlloc?

This reports the number of distinct memory blocks currently allocated in the system. A rapid rise in this count without a matching rise in numBytesAlloc can point to many small allocations fragmenting the heap.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5812.1.5.6
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> DEVICE-MIB::numBlocksAlloc

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5812.1.5.6.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> DEVICE-MIB::numBlocksAlloc.1
