Description: Enables or disables IGMP snooping in the system
What is igsStatus?
This enables(1) or disables(2) IGMP snooping on the switch, which lets the switch forward multicast traffic only to ports with interested listeners instead of flooding it everywhere. An admin enables this in networks with IPTV or other multicast applications to reduce unnecessary bandwidth use on ports without subscribers.
