Module: DELL-NETWORKING-TRAP-EVENT-MIB

OID (symbolic): DELL-NETWORKING-TRAP-EVENT-MIB::activeTrapEventPort

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6027.3.6.1.2.1.1.8

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-only

Description: Corresponsding to chAlarmVarPort in trap definition. This field may be used for other instance depending on the trap type, for example, tray number in case of fan or power supply trap. The value of -1 is used for non-applicable case.

What is activeTrapEventPort?

This integer identifies the port (or, depending on trap type, another unit such as a power-supply tray) associated with a currently active trap, corresponding to the chAlarmVarPort variable in the original trap, with -1 when not applicable. An admin combines this with activeTrapEventType to know exactly which port or tray is still in the alarmed state. For example, a value of 2 on an active fan-tray trap tells the admin which tray needs physical inspection.

Examples

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> DELL-NETWORKING-TRAP-EVENT-MIB::activeTrapEventPort

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.6027.3.6.1.2.1.1.8.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> DELL-NETWORKING-TRAP-EVENT-MIB::activeTrapEventPort.1

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> activeTrapEventPort.1
