dellNetFpIfEgPktDropsOfAnyCondition

Module: DELL-NETWORKING-FPSTATS-MIB

OID (symbolic): DELL-NETWORKING-FPSTATS-MIB::dellNetFpIfEgPktDropsOfAnyCondition

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6027.3.27.1.13.1.20

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter64

Access: read-only

Description: PKT Drops of ANY Conditions

What is dellNetFpIfEgPktDropsOfAnyCondition?

This read-only Counter64 reports the total number of packets dropped on egress for any condition not broken out into its own counter, counted on this specific physical interface (this row is indexed by ifIndex/port, unlike the chassis-wide dellNetFpDrops* counters which aggregate the same reasons across the whole switch). This is a Broadcom-style switch-ASIC hardware drop counter: an admin troubleshooting unexplained packet loss walks this whole family of counters (Ingress*, Eg*, MMU*) looking for whichever one is actually incrementing, since that pinpoints the specific stage of the forwarding pipeline (STP state, ACL policy, buffer exhaustion, CRC error, TTL, etc.) where packets are being discarded, rather than just seeing generic interface drops.
