dellNetFpHOLDropsPerCOS
Module: DELL-NETWORKING-FPSTATS-MIB
OID (symbolic): DELL-NETWORKING-FPSTATS-MIB::dellNetFpHOLDropsPerCOS
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6027.3.27.1.6.1.5
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Counter64
Access: read-only
Description: HOL Drops Per Queue.
What is dellNetFpHOLDropsPerCOS?
This read-only Counter64 counts Head-Of-Line drops -- packets discarded because a stalled queue blocked others behind it in the buffer -- broken out per Class-of-Service queue on this port (the ifIndex-scoped duplicate is dellNetFpIfHOLDropsPerCOS). An admin uses the per-CoS breakdown to identify exactly which traffic class is suffering HOL blocking (rather than just seeing one aggregate port-wide drop count), which usually points at that specific queue being undersized or its egress port being oversubscribed.
