dellNetFpEgIPv4L3UCAgedDrops

Module: DELL-NETWORKING-FPSTATS-MIB

OID (symbolic): DELL-NETWORKING-FPSTATS-MIB::dellNetFpEgIPv4L3UCAgedDrops

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6027.3.27.1.3.1.16

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter64

Access: read-only

Description: IPv4 L3UC Aged & Drops

What is dellNetFpEgIPv4L3UCAgedDrops?

This read-only Counter64 reports the number of IPv4 unicast Layer-3 packets dropped on egress after aging out (timing out) in a queue, counted across the whole switch's forwarding ASIC, aggregated over every port (the per-interface breakdown of these same drop reasons is in the parallel dellNetFpIf... table). This is a Broadcom-style switch-ASIC hardware drop counter: an admin troubleshooting unexplained packet loss walks this whole family of counters (Ingress*, Eg*, MMU*) looking for whichever one is actually incrementing, since that pinpoints the specific stage of the forwarding pipeline (STP state, ACL policy, buffer exhaustion, CRC error, TTL, etc.) where packets are being discarded, rather than just seeing generic interface drops.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.6027.3.27.1.3.1.16
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> DELL-NETWORKING-FPSTATS-MIB::dellNetFpEgIPv4L3UCAgedDrops

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.6027.3.27.1.3.1.16.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> DELL-NETWORKING-FPSTATS-MIB::dellNetFpEgIPv4L3UCAgedDrops.1

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> dellNetFpEgIPv4L3UCAgedDrops.1
