erptrSecurityPortAddrStatus

Module: DECHUB900-ERPTR-MIB-V3-0

OID (symbolic): DECHUB900-ERPTR-MIB-V3-0::erptrSecurityPortAddrStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.36.2.18.11.5.1.1.4.3.2.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The status of this table entry.

Setting this object to createRequest(2) adds a new entry in this table mapping the authorized MAC address specified by this entry to the port specified by this entry. Immediately after completing the create operation, the agent sets this object to underCreation(3). An existing instance of this object cannot be set to createRequest(2).

Entries exist in the underCreation(3) state until the management station sets this object to valid(1) or aborts, setting this object to invalid(4).

The repeater does not use the information in this entry to enforce security unless this object is set to valid (1).

Setting this object to invalid(4) has the effect of deleting this entry from the table.

Note: The state of this object is preserved when the repeater undergoes a power-up reset if the value of this entry's erptrSecurityPortAddrStatus is valid (1).

What is erptrSecurityPortAddrStatus?

This is the standard row-creation state machine for an authorized-address entry: set to createRequest(2) to add a new MAC-to-port mapping (the agent reports underCreation(3) while it's being built), then set to valid(1) to activate it or invalid(4) to abort or delete it. Security enforcement for this address doesn't take effect until it's set to valid(1).

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.36.2.18.11.5.1.1.4.3.2.1.4
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> DECHUB900-ERPTR-MIB-V3-0::erptrSecurityPortAddrStatus

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.36.2.18.11.5.1.1.4.3.2.1.4.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> DECHUB900-ERPTR-MIB-V3-0::erptrSecurityPortAddrStatus.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.36.2.18.11.5.1.1.4.3.2.1.4.1 i <value>
