bgpTrapData
Module: DC-BGP-MIB
OID (symbolic): DC-BGP-MIB::bgpTrapData
OID (numeric): 1.2.826.0.1.1578918.5.65.1.1.0.1
Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE
Description: Structure used to send trap data to the MIB Manager. DC-BGP will send a trap in the following circumstances:
- When a BGP peer's FSM enters the established state, if bgpPeerTrapEstab is set to 'true' for the peer - When a BGP peer's FSM moves from a higher numbered state to a lower numbered state, if bgpPeerTrapBackw is set to 'true' for the peer - When the local device changes Graceful Restart helper state for a peer, if bgpPeerTrapGrHelperState is set to 'true' for the peer - When the maximum numbers of prefixes is reached for an AFI/SAFI for a peer, if bgpPeerTrapPrefix is set to 'true' for the peer and bgpPeerAfiSafiTrapPrefix is set to 'true' for the AFI/SAFI - When the prefix threshold is breached for an AFI/SAFI for a peer, if bgpPeerTrapPrefix is set to 'true' for the peer and bgpPeerAfiSafiTrapPrefix is set to 'true' for the AFI/SAFI.
Examples
Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' DC-BGP-MIB::bgpTrapData snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.2.826.0.1.1578918.5.65.1.1.0.1
Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):
snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
Example snmptrapd log entry:
zoo11-linux.zoo [UDP: [192.168.30.111]:54440->[192.168.30.10]:162]: DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (43903656) 5 days, 1:57:16.56 SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 = OID: DC-BGP-MIB::bgpTrapData
