This read-only value provides a qualifier that adds detail to the primary operational state reported by cyanXauiOperState, since the source MIB provides no further descriptive text beyond the object name. Admins read this alongside cyanXauiOperState to get a more specific reason for a down or degraded state. For illustration, this object might qualify a down state as caused by a loss-of-signal condition rather than an administrative shutdown.
