voxConnStatus

Module: CXVSHELL-MIB

OID (symbolic): CXVSHELL-MIB::voxConnStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.495.2.1.1.3.1.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: Displays whether a voice I/O card-to-slot number association has been successful at the VCE layer.

Options: recorded-in-config (1): configuration is correct but has not yet been implemeted. System reset required.

failed (2): configuration not performed correctly. The configuration may have the correct syntax but the change cannot be implemented at the VCE layer because there is no voice I/O card in the requested slot. If the requested slot is currently occupied by another kind of I/O card, for example an Ethernet card, the same result will occur.

connected (3): configuration performed properly and association made.

DefaultValue: none

What is voxConnStatus?

This value reports whether the mapping between a voice I/O card and its configured chassis slot has actually taken effect at the hardware (VCE) layer, distinguishing between a pending configuration, a failed association, and a successfully connected one. An admin checks this after configuring voxSlotNo to confirm the association actually worked, rather than assuming success just because the configuration was accepted. For example, a status of failed(2) after setting a slot number would tell the admin that slot is either occupied by a non-voice card or otherwise unable to accept the requested voice card association, requiring a system reset or slot change to resolve.
