What is snalcCrossConnectXidTransparent?

Determines whether XID frames are modified as they pass through the cross-connection: nonTransparent (1, the default) allows the fields to be altered, while transparent (2) passes XIDs through unchanged between the SDLC/QLLC/LIM lower layers. An admin enables transparent mode when the connected devices need to see each other's original XID content unmodified.
