cxEvmLogFileId

Module: CXEventManager-MIB

OID (symbolic): CXEventManager-MIB::cxEvmLogFileId

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.495.2.1.5.17.8.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: Displays the index index of the log file. The software assigns this index automatically to uniquely identify the log file. The index acts as a pointer to this table.

You cannot modify this object. It is a display that the software provides.

The first entry of the table is reserved by the event manager as a special log file for screen display of the events. You can define up to 19 logfiles.

After a coldstart, a default logfile (LOG1.EVM) is defined in the second entry of the table and will record all events. When an entry of the filetable is activated, a file is created with the filename LOGx.EVM where 'x' is the index of the table.

Range of Values: 0 to 20

Default Value: none

What is cxEvmLogFileId?

This read-only integer, from 0 to 20, displays the automatically assigned index of a log file entry, acting as a pointer into the log file table; the first entry is reserved for on-screen event display and up to 19 additional log files can be defined, with a default log LOG1.EVM created in entry 2 after a cold start. Admins read this to identify which numbered log file, such as LOG5.EVM, corresponds to a given table row. For example, an entry with cxEvmLogFileId 2 corresponds to the file LOG2.EVM.
