cxEvmLogFileCPUFilter
Module: CXEventManager-MIB
OID (symbolic): CXEventManager-MIB::cxEvmLogFileCPUFilter
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.495.2.1.5.17.8.1.5
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: OCTET STRING
Access: read-write
Description: This field consists of 2 hexadecimal octets. The value represents a bit field used to determines which CPU cards are to be filtered out. Each bit in this object is mapped to a specific CPU card within a chassis. Turning the bit off (0) causes the events coming from the associated CPU card to filtered out. Setting a bit to 1 will enable event manager processing for the associated CPU card.
- bit 0: CPU card in slot #1 (0: filter out, 1:continue filtering process) - bit 1: CPU card in slot #2 (0: filter out, 1:continue filtering process) - bit 2: CPU card in slot #3 (0: filter out, 1:continue filtering process) - bit 3: CPU card in slot #4 (0: filter out, 1:continue filtering process) - bit 4: CPU card in slot #5 (0: filter out, 1:continue filtering process) - bit 5: CPU card in slot #6 (0: filter out, 1:continue filtering process) - bit 6: CPU card in slot #7 (0: filter out, 1:continue filtering process) - bit 7: CPU card in slot #8 (0: filter out, 1:continue filtering process) - bit 8: CPU card in slot #9 (0: filter out, 1:continue filtering process) - bit 9: CPU card in slot #10 (0: filter out, 1:continue filtering process) - bit 10: CPU card in slot #11 (0: filter out, 1:continue filtering process) - bit 11: CPU card in slot #12 (0: filter out, 1:continue filtering process) - bit 12: CPU card in slot #13 (0: filter out, 1:continue filtering process) - bit 13: CPU card in slot #14 (0: filter out, 1:continue filtering process) - bit 14: CPU card in slot #15 (0: filter out, 1:continue filtering process) - bit 15: CPU card in slot #16 (0: filter out, 1:continue filtering process)
Range of Values: 0000 to ffff (hexadecimal)
Default Value: 0000
What is cxEvmLogFileCPUFilter?
This 2-byte hexadecimal bitmask, defaulting to 0000, controls which CPU cards' events are processed for this log file, with bits 0 through 15 mapped to CPU cards in chassis slots 1 through 16; clearing a bit filters out events from that CPU card, while setting it to 1 allows the event manager to continue processing events from that card. Admins configure this to restrict a given log file to events from specific CPU cards in a multi-CPU chassis. For example, setting only bit 0 to 1 (hex 0001) limits this log file to events originating from the CPU card in slot 1.
