Module: CXCFG-BR-MIB

OID (symbolic): CXCFG-BR-MIB::cxCfgDot1dBasePortSubnetworkSapAlias

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.495.2.1.6.14.3.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Alias

Access: read-write

Description: Specifies a name (alias) for the physical or convergence port to which this port binds in order to establish a circuit for transmission. Range of Values: From 1 to 32 alphanumeric characters. You can use any combination of letters and numbers however, you cannot use blank spaces. Use a dash or underscore as a delimiter.

Default Value: LAN-PORT1

What is cxCfgDot1dBasePortSubnetworkSapAlias?

This read-write Alias value names the physical or convergence port that this STP bridge port binds to in order to establish a transmission circuit. The value must match an existing alias defined elsewhere, either cxLanIoPortAlias or cxConvPortAlias, so admins use it to wire a bridge port to a specific physical LAN or WAN port by name rather than by raw index. An admin might set this to "LAN-PORT2" to bind the STP bridge port to the second physical LAN port instead of the default "LAN-PORT1".
