cxCfgDot1dBasePort

Module: CXCFG-BR-MIB

OID (symbolic): CXCFG-BR-MIB::cxCfgDot1dBasePort

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.495.2.1.6.14.3.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: Displays the port number.

Options: The acceptable values depend on the type of device that you are configuring.

In the CX900 architecture: 11, 21, 31, 41, 51, 61 or 71. The first digit identifies the slot number the I/O board resides in, the second digit identifies the number of the port on the I/O board.

In the CX1000 architecture: Accepts only the value '1'. The LAN module only supports 1 port per I/O board. You distinguish between multiple I/O boards by specifying the slot number of the I/O board using another object.

Default Value: 1

What is cxCfgDot1dBasePort?

This read-only integer identifies the bridge port number for this row of the STP base port table. Its value encodes physical slot/port position on CX900-family devices, where the first digit is the slot and the second is the port, while CX1000 devices always report the single value 1, so admins use it to map SNMP table rows to physical I/O boards. For example, a value of 31 on a CX900 chassis tells the admin the entry corresponds to port 1 on the I/O board in slot 3.
