Description: This object allows the conversion of group and multicast addresses in the MAC DA of the IPX protocol format. Conversion is as follows: TR(C0 00 00 80 00 00) and Canonical (FF FF FF FF FF FF). TR(C0 00 40 00 00 00) and Canonical (09 00 07 FF FF FF). This object is only applicable if the state of ctTransNovellCfgMode is enabled.
The default value for this object is product specific. A write of notsupported (3) will have no affect.
What is ctTransNovellGroupMode?
Turns on translation of IPX group and multicast MAC destination addresses on this interface, converting between the Token Ring form (e.g. C0 00 00 80 00 00) and its canonical Ethernet equivalent (FF FF FF FF FF FF), and similarly for the second address pair. Only takes effect when ctTransNovellCfgMode is enabled.
