Type: ServiceStatus
Access: read-only
Description: The current status of PIM in the switch.
What is serviceStatusPim?
Reports the running state of the PIM multicast routing process on the switch - started, stopped, or notWorking. Admins use it to confirm PIM itself is healthy before troubleshooting multicast routing tree formation between this switch and its neighbors. If PIM neighbor relationships fail to form network-wide and serviceStatusPim reads notWorking(3) on this switch, the admin knows the local PIM process needs restarting.
