ds1AlarmGlobalBPVErrorRate

Module: CTRON-REMOTE-ACCESS-MIB

OID (symbolic): CTRON-REMOTE-ACCESS-MIB::ds1AlarmGlobalBPVErrorRate

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.1.2.7.2.8.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Used to specify the negative exponent of 10, used in monitoring Bipolar Violations (Code Violations for E1) over intervals defined by ds1AlarmGlobalBPVInterval. For example, for a ds1AlarmGlobalBPVErrorRate value of 6 used with a ds1AlarmGlobalBPVInterval of 15, an alarm is generated when a 15 minute period has an average error rate which exceeds 1 Bipolar Violation (Code Violation for E1) per million bits. For those devices that support ds1 alarm monitoring but who's hardware does not support detect bipolar violations, this object always returns the default, and performs no action when written.

What is ds1AlarmGlobalBPVErrorRate?

The global Bipolar Violation (Code Violation for E1) alarm threshold, expressed as a negative power of 10 (5-9, default 6); e.g. a value of 6 with a 15-minute interval means an alarm fires if the average error rate over 15 minutes exceeds 1 violation per million bits. Devices whose hardware can't detect bipolar violations always report the default and ignore writes.
