ctPppLcpExtEchoRequest

Module: CTRON-REMOTE-ACCESS-MIB

OID (symbolic): CTRON-REMOTE-ACCESS-MIB::ctPppLcpExtEchoRequest

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.1.2.7.2.6.2.1.11

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: A zero indicated no Echo Request and any other value provides an interval to send Echo-Requests to the Peer. The Echo-Request provides a Data Link Layer loopback mechanism for use in exercising both directions of the link. This is useful in debugging, link quality determination. LCP MUST be in the OPENED state for an Echo-Request to occur.

What is ctPppLcpExtEchoRequest?

Sets the interval, in seconds, at which the device sends PPP LCP Echo-Requests to the peer as a data-link loopback/keepalive check (0 disables echoing); useful for detecting a silently-dead link, but only takes effect once LCP has reached the OPENED state.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.1.2.7.2.6.2.1.11
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CTRON-REMOTE-ACCESS-MIB::ctPppLcpExtEchoRequest

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.1.2.7.2.6.2.1.11.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CTRON-REMOTE-ACCESS-MIB::ctPppLcpExtEchoRequest.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.1.2.7.2.6.2.1.11.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> ctPppLcpExtEchoRequest.1
