ctDot1qVlanForbidEgressPorts

Module: CTRON-Q-BRIDGE-MIB-EXT

OID (symbolic): CTRON-Q-BRIDGE-MIB-EXT::ctDot1qVlanForbidEgressPorts

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.1.2.16.7.1.3.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: PortList

Access: read-only

Description: The current set of ports which are prohibited from being included in the egress list for this VLAN. This object is a logical combination of dot1qVlanForbiddenEgressPorts and zero or more proprietary methods of forbidding egress on a per port per VLAN basis.

What is ctDot1qVlanForbidEgressPorts?

This value reports the current bitmap of ports prohibited from egressing this VLAN's traffic, combining the standard dot1qVlanForbiddenEgressPorts setting with any vendor-specific forbidding mechanisms in effect. An admin reads it to confirm which ports are locked out of a VLAN's traffic entirely, which is useful when diagnosing why an expected frame never reaches a particular port despite other configuration allowing it. For example, finding port 5's bit set in ctDot1qVlanForbidEgressPorts for VLAN 200 explains why that port will never carry VLAN 200 traffic even if it is later added statically elsewhere.
