Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TruthValue

What is ctDot1qTpFdbRemoveAddress?

Setting this value to true(1) removes the unicast MAC address identified by the row's dot1qFdbId/dot1qTpFdbAddress index from the transparent filtering database; setting it to false has no effect, and it always reads back as false(2). An admin uses this to manually flush a specific stale or incorrectly learned MAC entry immediately, rather than waiting for the normal aging timer to expire it. For example, after moving a server to a different switch port, an admin sets ctDot1qTpFdbRemoveAddress to true(1) on that MAC's old learned(3) entry so the switch relearns it on the new port right away.
