ctPriorityExtMACVlanId

Module: CTRON-PRIORITY-EXTENSIONS-MIB

OID (symbolic): CTRON-PRIORITY-EXTENSIONS-MIB::ctPriorityExtMACVlanId

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.1.2.14.2.5.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: A set of 65335 (0xFFFF) causes the priority value specified in ctPriorityExtMACPriority to apply to all packets matching the criteria specified by ctPriorityExtMACAddr, ctPriorityExtAddrType, and ctPriorityExtMACPktType. Any value between 1 and 4095 is a valid VLAN ID (IEEE 802.1q) and causes ctPriorityExtMACPriority to only apply to packets that are of matching the above criteria and that are members of the IEEE 802.1q VLAN specified by the value set.

What is ctPriorityExtMACVlanId?

Further narrows a MAC-based priority rule to a specific 802.1Q VLAN: setting it to 65535 (0xFFFF) applies the rule to matching packets regardless of VLAN, while a value from 1 to 4095 restricts the rule to only that VLAN. An admin uses this when the same MAC address needs different priority handling depending on which VLAN its traffic is tagged with.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.1.2.14.2.5.1.4
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CTRON-PRIORITY-EXTENSIONS-MIB::ctPriorityExtMACVlanId

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.1.2.14.2.5.1.4.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CTRON-PRIORITY-EXTENSIONS-MIB::ctPriorityExtMACVlanId.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.1.2.14.2.5.1.4.1 i <value>
