portMapOperationalMode

Module: CTRON-PORTMAP-MIB

OID (symbolic): CTRON-PORTMAP-MIB::portMapOperationalMode

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.1.1.16.1.1.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This indicates the current operational mode of this port. This value is a logical OR of the current operational mode, where each technology is given the values below:

other(1) Undefined, or ability not known Auto-Negotiation(2) Auto-Negotiation 10BASE-T(4) 10BASE-T 100BASE-TX(8) 100BASE-TX 1000BASE(16) 1000BASE

For example, a port that has auto-negotiated to a speed of 100BASE-TX would have a value of 10 (2 + 8).

What is portMapOperationalMode?

This value reports, and can be used to set, the technology the port is actually operating at right now, encoded the same bitmask way as portMapCapability but reflecting the port's active mode rather than its full hardware capability. An admin compares this against portMapCapability to see whether a port negotiated to its best possible speed or is running below its potential. For example, a value of 10 (2+8) shows the port auto-negotiated to 100BASE-TX operation.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.1.1.16.1.1.1.4
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CTRON-PORTMAP-MIB::portMapOperationalMode

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.1.1.16.1.1.1.4.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CTRON-PORTMAP-MIB::portMapOperationalMode.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.1.1.16.1.1.1.4.1 i <value>
