ctIfRemapTableStart

Module: CTRON-IF-REMAP-MIB

OID (symbolic): CTRON-IF-REMAP-MIB::ctIfRemapTableStart

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.1.1.13.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This object allows operational control (start/stop) of all active entries in the ctIFRemapTable. This object becomes meaningless if the ctIfRemapTableEnable object is set to disable(2).

Setting this object to start(1) allows all active entries to perform interface remapping.

Setting this object to stop(2) stops all interface remapping Existing entries are not deleted from the table.

A value of unsupported(3) indicates that this device does not support the starting and stopping of active entries in the ctIFRemapTable.

What is ctIfRemapTableStart?

This object starts or stops interface remapping (mirroring) for all currently active entries in the remap table at once, without deleting the entries themselves. Admins use start(1) to resume mirroring after a pause and stop(2) to temporarily halt all mirrored traffic while keeping the configured source/destination pairs intact. For example, an admin sets this to stop(2) to quiet down mirrored traffic on the network during a busy period without losing the remap table configuration.
