Description: The maximum number of remote destination ports per remote module. For example, a value of 3 means that I can have no more than 3 remap destination ports between this module, and any other given module in the same chassis simultaneously. I can have multiple source ports remapped to each of the three remote destination ports. I can also remap to up to three remote destination ports on each of the other modules in the chassis simultaneously.
What is ctIFRemap2SlotMaxRemoteDests?
This value specifies how many distinct destination ports on any single other module this slot's module can simultaneously remap traffic to. Admins use it to plan mirroring topology across a chassis, since many source ports on this slot can share those few remote destinations, but the count of distinct destination ports per remote module is capped. Per the description's own example, a value of 3 means this slot can remap to at most 3 destination ports on any given other module at once, while repeating that same 3-destination pattern independently against every other module in the chassis.
