ctIFRemap2PortReference

Module: CTRON-IF-REMAP-2-MIB

OID (symbolic): CTRON-IF-REMAP-2-MIB::ctIFRemap2PortReference

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.1.1.14.1.2.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OBJECT IDENTIFIER

Access: read-only

Description: This object returns an OID referencing an object which uniquely corresponds to this remap port. The only criteria is that this OID is a leaf, and that it exists and is accessible. For example, if remap functionality is running on an 802.1d compliant bridge, remap port #1 could reference dot1dBasePort.1. Alternatively you could reference a mib2 interface like ifIndex.1 or a Cabletron Secure Fast port. Mixing these types (some refer to bridge ports, others refer to SFS ports) is not advised, but not prohibited

What is ctIFRemap2PortReference?

This value returns the OID of another MIB object instance that uniquely identifies the real interface underlying this remap-capable port entry. Admins walk this to map a slot/port pair in ctIFRemap2PortTable back to a familiar object, such as a bridge port or an ifIndex entry, so they know which physical interface they are actually configuring for remap. For example, per the description's own guidance it might return dot1dBasePort.1 for a bridge port or ifIndex.1 for a standard MIB-II interface.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.1.1.14.1.2.1.3
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CTRON-IF-REMAP-2-MIB::ctIFRemap2PortReference

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.1.1.14.1.2.1.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CTRON-IF-REMAP-2-MIB::ctIFRemap2PortReference.1
