Description: The administrative status requested by management for back pressure on this port. Back pressure is a collision based flow control mechanism used in half duplex configurations. The value of enabled(1) indicates that back pressure should be enabled on this port if the port is in half duplex. The value of disable(2) indicates that back pressure should be disabled on this port.

What is ctFlowCtlHalfDuplexAdminStatus?

This is an administrative toggle for back pressure, a collision-based flow-control mechanism that only applies when the port is operating in half duplex. It lets an admin manage congestion control specifically on legacy half-duplex links. For example, enabling this on a half-duplex hub-connected port lets the switch intentionally generate collisions to signal senders to slow down when its buffers fill.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.1.2.4.2.2.1.1.1
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CTRON-ETHERNET-PARAMETERS-MIB::ctFlowCtlHalfDuplexAdminStatus

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.1.2.4.2.2.1.1.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CTRON-ETHERNET-PARAMETERS-MIB::ctFlowCtlHalfDuplexAdminStatus.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.1.2.4.2.2.1.1.1.1 i <value>
