chassisAlarmState

Module: CTRON-CHASSIS-MIB

OID (symbolic): CTRON-CHASSIS-MIB::chassisAlarmState

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.3.1.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: Denotes the current condition of the power supply fault detection circuit. This object will read with the value of chassisNoFaultCondition(1) when the chassis is currently operating with no power faults detected.

This object will read with the value of chassisFaultCondition(2) when the chassis is currently in a power fault condition.

What is chassisAlarmState?

This read-only enumerated integer reports the chassis's power fault detection state: chassisNoFaultCondition(1) when operating normally, chassisFaultCondition(2) when a power fault is currently detected, or notSupported(3) if the chassis lacks this detection capability. An administrator monitors this as a quick top-level health indicator for chassis power issues, prompting deeper investigation into individual power supplies when a fault appears. For example, if this object transitions to chassisFaultCondition(2), the admin immediately checks the individual power supply state objects to identify which specific supply is failing.
