Module: CTRON-BRIDGE-MIB
OID (symbolic): CTRON-BRIDGE-MIB::ctBridgeSdbGenericFtrData
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.1.2.3.9.3.1.3
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: DisplayString
Access: read-write
Description: The specific packet string representing the destination address, source address, type/length field and a window of 64 bytes of packet data beginning at DataOffset to be used for filtering decisions. Each ASCII character of the string represents a nibble of packet data, therefore the packet string should be (14+64) * 2 = 156 characters long. A value of 'x' in the packet string is used to indicate a 'Don't care' and no filtering is to be performed on that nibble. The string may be be of size 0 to 78 bytes. If a size less than 78 bytes is used, the string will still begin at the destination address.
What is ctBridgeSdbGenericFtrData?
This read-write DisplayString, sized 0 to 78 characters, holds the packet-match pattern for a Generic special-database filter, encoding destination address, source address, type/length field, and a 64-byte data window starting at the configured offset, with each ASCII character representing one nibble of packet data. An administrator populates this to define a precise byte-level match pattern for filtering traffic on media types handled by the generic filter mechanism. For example, to block a specific device by its hardware address on a non-Ethernet, non-Token-Ring media port, the admin encodes that address into this filter-data string.
