OID (symbolic): CTRON-BDG-MIB::pcCRCErrs

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.2.2.1.1.1.32

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: The number of receive packets with CRC errors.

What is pcCRCErrs?

This read-only integer counts packets received by this PC that failed their Cyclical Redundancy Check. An admin treats a rising CRC error count at a specific PC as a strong indicator of a physical-layer fault -- bad cable, connector, or NIC -- on that machine's connection. For example, a workstation whose pcCRCErrs count starts climbing after being moved to a new desk would lead the admin to suspect the new cable run rather than the PC's hardware itself.
