What is bdgPortColl?
This read-only counter tracks the number of collisions detected on the network segment attached to this port. An admin watches for an elevated collision count as a classic symptom of a duplex mismatch, cabling fault, or an overloaded shared-media segment. For example, a sharp rise in bdgPortColl right after a switch replacement on that segment would prompt the admin to check for a duplex mismatch between the bridge port and the new switch.
