What is swdisAccess?

This read-write INTEGER controls which version of software may be downloaded to the device, either protected(1) to reject all downloads or any-software(2) to accept downloads matching the version embedded in the distributed files. An administrator uses it as a gatekeeper against accidental or unauthorized firmware pushes outside a planned maintenance window. For example, the admin sets swdisAccess to protected(1) right after a firmware rollout to block any further TFTP software downloads until the next planned maintenance window.
