swNumber
Module: CTATX-MIB
OID (symbolic): CTATX-MIB::swNumber
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.97.3.2.1
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-only
Description: The number of file sets. This number is fixed as 2.
What is swNumber?
This read-only INTEGER reports the number of software file sets stored on the device, which the MIB documents as always fixed at 2. An administrator or management script can use it as a sanity check before iterating over the swDesc/swCount/swTypes entries for each file set. For example, a firmware audit script asserts swNumber equals 2 before looping through both stored file-set descriptions.
