stRootHello
Module: CTATX-MIB
OID (symbolic): CTATX-MIB::stRootHello
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.97.3.3.4.5
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: TimeTicks
Access: read-write
What is stRootHello?
This read-write TimeTicks value, though its source description is empty, is paired with the read-only stActHello and represents the Hello Time interval this bridge would use for BPDUs while acting as root. An administrator tunes it to balance convergence responsiveness against BPDU overhead on a large, stable topology. For example, the admin increases stRootHello slightly to reduce BPDU overhead on a large, stable spanning tree topology.
