Description: A series of 16 MAC addresses (96 octets in total), of the source addresses of the last 16 packets that were not sent due to packet size limitations. If fewer than 16 packets were not sent, then the unspecified MAC addresses will be all zeroes.
What is sifTxAddr?
This read-only OCTET STRING holds 96 octets containing the source MAC addresses of the last 16 packets not sent from this port due to size limitations, zero-padded if fewer than 16 such packets occurred. An administrator decodes it to identify exactly which hosts are sending oversized packets that this port is dropping. For example, the admin decodes sifTxAddr after seeing sifTxSizes increase and finds the same source MAC repeated, pointing to one misconfigured host sending jumbo frames the port won't accept.
